Tau opens up on dream Brugge start

Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has opened up on his dream start to life at Club Brugge after finding the net again in the Belgian top-flight.

The 25-year-old has slotted seamlessly into the Club Brugge first team two goals in his first two league appearances, while featuring a full 90 minutes in his UEFA Champions League debut last week.

The 1-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in the first leg of their third round qualifying tie has left Brugge just 90 minutes away from the final round before the Group stages of Europe's elite club competition.

Meanwhile, Tau, has continued to marvel onlookers with his mecurial talent into the First League A, following his Proximus Player of the Season exploits with Royal Union Saint-Gilloise.

Speaking to the club's official website after the victory over Oostende, Tau spoke of his delight at his goal-scoring performance and the transition since securing a loan move from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.

“We really wanted to win against KV Ostende and managed to do so thanks to a strong collective performance," Tau said.
"I am of course also happy with my goal. I wanted the ball quite a lot and created space for the others when having the ball. In this way, we could be dangerous. 
"I played at Union in 1B last season and still have to adapt myself a bit here but the teammates and coach are helping me a lot. 
"I try to perform my tasks in the best possible way."
Since leaving South Africa as th 2017/18 PSL Player of the Year, Tau has scored 15 goals and registered 13 assists in 38 games across all competitions for RUSG and Brugge respectively.
