Real's highest paid after Hazard deal

Belgium superstar Eden Hazard completed a €100 million transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid and his staggering wages amongst the club's highest earners have now reportedly been revealed.

Hazard was officially unveiled in front of a bouyant 50 000 fans at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday evening after months of speculation arround his future with Chelsea.

The 28-year-old who is widely considered as one of the finest playmakers in world football is expected to fill the boots as the club's Galactico that's been missing since the departure of five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to English publication, the Independent, Hazard signed a money-spinning £400 000 (R7.5 million) a week contract that will run over the next five seasons.

The two-time Premier League winner replaced Gareth Bale is the highest-earner at the club, who is reportedly on a lucrative £350 000 (R6.6 million) in basic salary, excluding add-ons.

The Wales international who is said to be one of the names Los Blancos want out the club outearns club captain Sergio Ramos and Germany superstar Toni Kroos - who are both said to be earning £200 000 (R3.8 million) a week.
