With Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar widely regarded as one of the best footballers in the world, his former teammate Cesc Fabregas has now likened him to Brazil legend Ronaldinho.
Fabregas played alongside Neymar during their shared time at FC Barcelona and was left impressed by the Brazil international's qualities, both on and off the pitch.
"Neymar is an outlier, he has qualities at the level of Ronaldinho," Fabregas said during a recent Instagram Live session.
"He is a superstar that makes the difference when he wants. It's been a while since I played with him and he recently killed us [AS Monaco] in two games with PSG.
"[Lionel] Messi, Luis [Suarez] and the rest liked having him in the team because at any moment he could give you an assist or dribble, something that is difficult in an evenly matched game."
Fabregas was also complimentary of Neymar's attitude away from the pitch, despite the 28-year-old having received criticism for his off-field antics in the past.
"He has everything to be the best," the former Spain international reiterated.
"Off the pitch he is a very good kid. He is like a child – always happy and enjoys life."
