Zimbabwe star Tino Kadewere says it would be a 'dream' to partner Karim Benzema after the Real Madrid striker singled him out for praise.
The Lyon forward continued his impressive form in his debut season for the Ligue 1 title-chasers and netted a brace in the 5-0 derby victory over Saint-Ettiene which caught the eye of the Los Blancos veteran.
Benzema starred for Lyon before his lucrative switch to Madrid in 2009 and issued his support to the former Harare City talent who's enjoyed a meteoric rise in Europe.
"Lyon tonight you can make a whole city proud and happy, we are all behind you! And Tino keep making your dreams come true," Benzema wrote on social media.
And Kadewere was subsequently shown and asked about the comments by french reporters after his inspiring display over Les Verts.
"l am sure if I had seen this before the game, I was probably going to score more goals because getting a tweet from such a big player and someone I look up to really gives me motivation," he said after the game.
"I'm really happy that one of the strikers that made me sign for Lyon is following my progress and happy with what I am doing. That gives me confidence. I really want to thank him for his belief and support."
He added to Foot Mercato: "[To] play with Karim Benzema at Lyon or join him in Madrid? Regardless, playing with him would be a dream come true."
Kadewere has scored nine goals and registered three assists in 20 games for Les Gones this season playing on the right-side of a front three alongside Memphis Depay and Cameroon ace Karl Toko-Ekambi.
