Lyon sporting director Juninho Pernambucano has explained the signing of Zimbabwe striker Tino Kadewere, despite the current presence of Moussa Dembele and Karl Toko Ekambi.
Kadewere, 24, was officially unveiled by the Ligue 1 giants on Wednesday after spending the remainder of the 2019/20 season on loan at Le Harve, following the €12-million transfer.
However, with highly-rated France striker Dembele (24) and Cameroon international Karl Toko Ekambi (27) recently sealing a permanent €11.5-million move from Villarreal, questions have been raised about the club's plans for the Warriors star.
However, club legend Juninho feels Kadwere will be able to complement their already potent attacking options and played down concerns that Dembele, who's been linked with a return to England, will depart in the off-season.

"Tino is able to play on his own up front, but also behind another striker," Juninho told the club's website.
"He is not someone who very selfish in his style of play. He can be a complementary piece with Moussa Dembélé.
"The arrival of Karl Toko Ekambi has allowed us to change the way we play and Tino Kadewere will be able to thrive with lots of space. We want to have a better season and Tino can offer us a lot."
Kadwere picked up the Ligue 2 Golden Boot award after scoring 20 goals in 24 league appearances for Le Harve.
