PSG's first big 22/23 signing revealed?

Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly closing in on their first major signing of the season after beating off competition from Manchester United.

Reports have suggested that the 10-time Ligue 1 champions are set to secure the services of FC Porto midfielder Vitinha.

Kylian Mbappe's renewal has dominated the headline in recent weeks, while the new sporting director Luis Campos was only appointed last week.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano says Campos' first signing as PSG director is set to be the Portugal international, with the club having already prepared a medical.

Reports in England claim Man United were also interested in the 22-year-old, who is now seemingly set to swap Portugal for the French capital.

Vitinha left Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2021 to join Porto and registered four goals and five assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.

The 22-year-old is not the only Porto player set for a big move, after the Portuguese club confirmed Fabio Vieira will join Premier League giants Arsenal in a deal worth €40 million.
