Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified a Premier League star as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
The French forward currently has about five months left on his contract with the Ligue 1 log leaders, and speculation about his future remains rife amid Real Madrid's public pursuit of the player.
In response to the Spanish giants' reported quest, PSG were said to be getting ready to offer the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner a contract that would see him earn more than Lionel Messi at the club, per the Daily Mirror.

Yet to sign an extension with the French club, though, Mbappe could become a free agent at the end of this campaign, which would leave the PSG hierarchy with the difficult task of replacing the attacker.
However, it appears that club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi may have already found his answer, with France-based journalists Hadrien Grenier and Abdellah Boulma, as cited by the Daily Mail, reporting that PSG want to lure Marcus Rashford away from Manchester United at the end of the season should it become clear the France international is on his way out.
It is further claimed that the Englishman is "seduced" by the opportunity of playing in a star-studded Les Parisiens side that boasts talents such as Marquinhos, Neymar and Lionel Messi.
Mauricio Pochettino's side reportedly targeted Rashford in August 2021 in case Mbappe chose to leave for Real back then, and it appears they may give it another go as they remain "in contact" with the 24-year-old ahead of the next transfer window.
The England international has only 18 months remaining on the deal he signed with United in 2019, although the Red Devils are said to have the option to extend his stay for another year.
