Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo has commented on the reports linking Zinedine Zidane with a move to the French giants.
The former Real Madrid coach has been linked with the head coach role at PSG after reports in England claimed Mauricio Pochettino would open to replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.
Spanish outlet Marca reported that Leonardo and PSG general manager Jean-Claude Blanc already met with Zidane in a bid to make him their new manager.
However, Leonardo has come out to deny those reports and confirms Pochettino will not be leaving the French capital.
“We do not want Pochettino to leave. He never asked to leave and no club contacted us in relation to him,” Leonardo told AFP.
“We have lots of respect for Zinedine Zidane, for what he did as a player and coach, but I can affirm very clearly that there was no contact or meeting with him.
“It is ridiculous to imagine that a meeting with Zidane could have taken place in a big hotel, in Paris, in front of the world.”
