Messi makes Covid-19 admission

Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi has revealed his recovery from Covid-19 has taken longer than he thought.

The Seven-time Ballon d'Or tested positive for Covid-19 on 2 January 2022 and has all of PSG's game since.

The club confirmed that Messi returned to the French capital last week after spending isolation in home town in Argentina.

However, the Argentine has now revealed he still not available to return action for the first team.

"As you know I had COVID and I wanted to thank you for all the messages I received and to tell you that it took longer than I thought to be well but I have almost recovered and I am really looking forward to getting back on the pitch.

"I have been training these days to get 100%, very beautiful challenges are coming this year and I hope we can see each other again very soon. Thanks!!'
