Mbappe changes mind about Real?

Ligue 1

Real Madrid's pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has reportedly taken another twist after the emergence of a new concern the French star seemingly has.

The 22-year-old looked likely to join Los Blancos in the most recent transfer window, after the Spanish giants made an audacious deadline-day offer of £189 million (R3.8 billion) for the goal-getter, according to the Daily Mirror.

However, the move failed to materialise, although many believe the France forward could still make the switch to Spain in January.

It was reported by El Chiringuito in September that, in an attempt to keep the dressing room focused, Real manager Carlo Ancelotti imposed a "ban" on any mention of Mbappe inside the club until the January transfer window.

It appears that news of this may have affected the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner's opinion of the head coach, with El Nacional now claiming that Mbappe is "not convinced" by the Italian tactician.

Despite Ancelotti's much-lauded trophy cabinet, the star would prefer to play under Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, according to the abovementioned publication.

This could put the Reds in an advantageous position if they were to reignite their interest in the France international, and could possibly also bring other potential suitors into the fold, with Mbappe's contract set to expire at the end of this campaign.

If he decides against extending his PSG stay, he will be able to sign a pre-contract in January 2022 with another European club of his choosing.
