The agent of Zimbabwe defender Teenage Hadebe has confirmed they rejected an approach from Amiens for a potential move from the Super Lig.
Hadebe, 26, spent two seasons in the Absa Premiership with Kaizer Chiefs before earning a move to Turkish top-flight side Yeni Malatyaspor where he's impressed with a place in the 2019/20 Team of the Season.
With interest brewing in the 13-time capped Zimbabwe centre-back, his agent Gibson Mahachi confirmed to KickOff.com in August that they are aiming to move his career further in the 2020/21 season.
Bongani Zungu's Amiens side, who were relegated from Ligue 1 after the campaign was cancelled prematurely due to the Covid-19 pandemic emerged as favourites, but his representative told NewsDay that the option isn't viable.
"The issue with Hadebe is that he is very happy at Yeni Malatyaspor and is not looking to move for now unless a bigger and tempting offer comes his way," Mahachi said.
"It's true there are several inquiries from Europe and that includes Amiens but there has to be a convincing reason for him to move, there has to be a much better offer if he is to leave.
"He is contracted to Yeni Malatyaspor, he is not a free agent, so it's not like he can move just like that. At the moment he is enjoying his stay at Yeni Malatyspor."
