France international defender Adil Rami has reportedly been sacked by his club for lying about an injury before being seen mud wrestling on a reality TV show.
Olympique Marseille are said to have notified the towering centre-back that has contract has been terminated after he lied about an injury to avoid returning to first-team training .
Rami, who has played two seasons for the club, said he was injured but on the same day took part in the recording of a French TV show that included 'mud wrestling'.
Club president Jacques-Henri Eyraud told Rami he needed to think deeply about "his obligations as a player especially as a world champion".
This after allegd erratic behaviour and the latest misdemeanour from the 33-year-old upon his high-profile breakup with former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson.
According French publication, L'Equipe, the 36-time capped Les Blues defender, who was suspended after the incident - has received a letter confirming the cancellation of his contract with the Ligue 1 side.
