Xavi's Barca to sell six stars?

New manager Xavi Hernandez has reportedly already identified six FC Barcelona stars he is ready to sell in the January transfer window.

With the Spanish club's new head coach having been unveiled on Monday and taken his first training session on Tuesday, it appears he is looking to shake things up already at the Camp Nou.

According to Marca, five of Barca's backroom staff have left following Xavi's arrival as he attempts to revamp the side on and off the pitch.

Following that mini-overhaul of staff, Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez has now reported that the 41-year-old wants to offload as many as six players in the near future in the hope of raising some cash to bolster his squad.

Among the players who will seemingly be available for sale in the January transfer window is Philippe Coutinho.

There were high hopes for the Brazilian when the Catalan giants decided to break their transfer record to sign him in 2018, but the ex-Liverpool man has endured a difficult spell since making the move.

Coutinho's countryman Neto will reportedly also be transfer-listed and available to purchase in January, with the former Valencia shot-stopper having struggled for minutes since joining as Marc-Andre ter Stegen continues to be the club's first-choice goalkeeper.

Another player who could soon be on his way out is defender Samuel Umtiti, who was linked with a move away from the club in the most recent transfer window – scroll through the gallery above to see all six stars Xavi is reportedly looking to sell in January.
