African legend Samuel Eto'o, now president of the Cameroonian Football Federation, received a 22-month suspended prison sentence from a Spanish court on Monday.
This judgement was reached after the former FC Barcelona star pleaded guilty to tax fraud of €3.8 million (R64 million) while he was playing for the Catalan giants.

In his statement to the court on Monday, the 41-year-old placed the blame on his former agent.
"I admit the facts and I am going to pay what I'm due, but let it be known that I was just a child then and that I always did what my former agent Jose Maria Mesalles, who I considered like a father, asked me to do at that time," Eto'o told the court in Barcelona, per ESPN.
Given the fact that neither men have a criminal record, they were handed suspended sentences and will not serve time in prison.
According to Marca, the retired footballer has been handed four fines amounting to a total of €1.8 million (R30 million), while he will also have to pay the €3.8 million (R64 million) in tax owed between 2006 and 2009.
It is claimed this charge comes from Eto'o failure to declare the income he made from the transfer of his image rights to PUMA and Barca in his personal income tax return.
The African allegedly taxed the image rights through two companies, one of them being in Hungary, to avoid Spain's high tax rates.
