Brazilian icon Ronaldo Nazario has revealed who he thinks should win this year's Ballon d'Or award, and it is not Lionel Messi nor Cristiano Ronaldo.
Earlier this month, the nominees for the 2021 edition of the prestigious prize were announced, with the list featuring 30 footballers who have all shone for their clubs and countries over the course of this year.

European champions Chelsea have a few players on the shortlist, while other clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Juventus have their share of representatives too, with Messi and Manchester United's Ronaldo both up for the Golden Ball once again.
Selecao legend Ronaldo Nazario is also familiar with the award, having won the accolade twice in his playing career – his first title came in 1997 before he claimed his second in 2002 – and it appears that one of Los Blancos' star performers has now received the ex-FC Barcelona attacker's endorsement for this year's prize.
"Without a doubt, my candidate for the Ballon d'Or is [Karim] Benzema," the 45-year-old wrote on Facebook on Thursday afternoon, alongside a picture of himself and the France striker.
"The best forward in the world, [an] incredibly high level for 10 years and a champion above all.
"Worthy of the award, don't you think?"
The Ballon d'Or ceremony is scheduled to take place on 29 November at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
