Koeman responds to 'sack' rumours

Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has responded to the speculation surrounding his job at the club after a disappointing loss this week.

The Catalans slipped to a second successive loss in the UEFA Champions League after going down 3-0 to Benfica in Portugal on Wednesday evening.

There were reports in Spain claiming that Barcelona have already begun the search for a possible replacement, with Roberto Martinez and Xavi Hernandez linked with the job.

Koeman, however, admits he that no one from the club has approached him about his job after their shaky start to the campaign.

"Nobody has said anything to me. It's true that the president was here this morning, but I didn't see him because he was preparing for the match," Koeman said, as per Marca.

"He hasn't said anything to me, but I have ears, I have eyes and I know that a lot of things leak out."

Koeman will be in the stands when Barcelona face Atletico Madrid on Saturday, as he serving the second of his two-game suspension.
