Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to sell a certain first team star to fund a move for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo's future at Old Trafford remains unclear despite United manager Erik ten Hag claiming he wants the player to stay.
A number of teams have been linked with a move for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, although Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have ruled out a chance of making a move.
However, the Times have reported that Atletico are now keen on signing the Real Madrid legend and are now looking to raise funds for a transfer.
The reports claims Atletico are now ready to offload Antoine Griezmann to fund a move for the Red Devils forward, who is entering the final year of his contract.
While United may not ask for a huge transfer fee, Atletico reportedly need to make space on their wage bill before they can sign Ronaldo.
United manage Erik ten Hag, however, says the Portuguese forward will be intergrated into the team.
"Concerning is maybe not the right word," Ten Hag said, according to the Athletic.
"I focus on the players who are there and they are doing really well. They are in good shape and I have further focus on that and develop that. I cannot wait for (Ronaldo) to come in and then we will integrate him."
