Real 'to target' superstar trio in 2022

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to go all out to sign three of the biggest names in football in 2022.

The LaLiga giants missed out on their top target Kylian Mbappe after the Spanish transfer window closed on 31 August, but Carlo Ancelotti's side are showing no signs of slowing down and have now set their sights on three superstar signings for the 2022/23 season.

Mbappe's contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of the season, while France midfielder Paul Pogba is in the same predicament at Manchester United.

According to Marca, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is set to target them both as free-agent signings next year.

It is further claimed that the Spanish club "expect" to confirm Mbappe's transfer through a pre-contract agreement on 1 January 2022.

With Real exploring the prospect of signing Pogba for free next year, the player's super-agent Mino Raiola could be set to play a big role in negotiations as he also represents Erling Haaland, who is another major target for Perez and Los Blancos, per Marca.

It is believed a move for the Norwegian forward could be done as Real reportedly have good relations with Borussia Dortmund and the striker is said to be "excited" about the opportunity of playing for the club.

The 21-year-old's reported release clause of £64 million (R1.2 billion) will also become active in 2022.
