FC Barcelona have confirmed that they have reached agreement with Dani Alves to join the team on a free transfer.
Alves has been a free agent since leaving Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo last month over a dispute about images rights.
However, the 38-year-old will only be able to play with the Catalan giants from 1 January 2022 as he became a free agent after the off-season window closed.
FC Barcelona and Dani Alves have reached an agreement in principle for the player to join the football first team for the remainder of the current season.
The Brazilian will be joining training from next week but will not be able to play until January.
The club will announce the full details at his official presentation as a new FC Barcelona player.
