Spanish club rocked by sex scandal

Malaga head coach Victor Sanchez has been suspended after he became embroiled in a social media sex scandal.

The former Real Madrid midfielder was caught in a sexually explicit video that was allegedly leaked on Twitter against his wishes.

Sanchez has since denied making the viral video public, sighting blackmail as the reason for the personal content being exposed.

"I want to say that I'm being subjected to a crime against my privacy, with harassment and extortion," he said, according to ESPN.

"In any case I want to say that sharing or publishing any person's intimate content without their consent is also a crime, whether it be via social media or any other means."

The Malaga hierarchy has also come out in the light of this unsavoury situation, pulling the head coach out of the firing line, with an official club statement.

"In relation to the events that have recently been discovered, and which have not as yet been verified.

"Malaga CF immediately suspends coach Victor Sanchez del Amo from his duties until a full investigation is carried out."
