Suarez breaks Atletico record

Atletico Madrid superstar Luis Suarez broke an incredible record with his late winner against Alaves that fired them back to the summit of LaLiga.

Atleti have benefited from the free transfer of Suarez from FC Barcelona in the off-season as he leads the scoring charts in the Spanish top-flight while holding a two-point lead over second-place Real Madrid with two games in hand.

And his late winner in the 2-1 victory on Sunday evening moved him to 11 goal contributions in his first 12 league games, surpassing cult hero Radamel Falcao's 10.
