Real held, Levante sink Barca

Real Madrid 0-0 Real Betis

Real Madrid missed the chance to go top of the table after they were held to a goalless draw by Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Eden Hazard had a goal chalked off early in the game by the Video Assistant Referee for an offside while receiving the ball as Zinedine Zidane's men could not find the net again.

The point sees Real remain in second on the table with 22 points, equal on points with log-leaders Barcelona but they have a inferior goal difference, while Real Betis were left lying 14th.

Levante 3-1 Barcelona

Barcelona lost their third game in LaLiga after suffering a shock 3-1 defeat to Levante at Estadio Ciutat de Valencia.

After Lionel Messi broke the deadlock for Barca seven minutes before the break, Levante produced a great second-half performance to net three goals in seven minutes from just after the hour-mark as Jose Campana, Borja Mayoral and Nemanja Radoja shocked Ernesto Valverde's charges in a famous win.

Espanyol 1-2 Valencia

Maxi Gomez scored ten minutes before time to give Valencia a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Espanyol at RCDE Stadium.

Marc Roca broke the deadlock for Espanyol in the 31st minute, but Daniel Parejo and Gomez scored late second-half goals to snatch victory for the visitors.

Sevilla 1-1 Atletico Madrid

Diego Costa's late penalty miss denied Atletico Madrid victory as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sevilla at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Franco Vasquez broke the deadlock for Julen Lopetegui's troops in the 28th minute, while Alvaro Morata levelled matters for Atletico on the hour-mark.

Costa should have snatched the winner for Diego Simeone's men with 18 minutes remaining from the penalty spot but his spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik.
