Tebas wants CR7 back in Spain

LaLiga president Javier Tebas has expressed his desire to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho return to the Spanish top flight.

The Portuguese duo worked together at Real Madrid before Mourinho departed for Chelsea in 2013 after just three seasons in charge.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, lasted a little longer before eventually leaving the Santiago Bernabeu for Juventus in 2018.

However, Tebas is hopeful that both Mourinho and Ronaldo will return to LaLiga one day.

"I would like to have Cristiano Ronaldo back and for Jose Mourinho to be coaching a Spanish team," Tebas said in an interview with Canal 11.
"He (Mourinho) is a great coach and a great name to promote our league.
"I thought that his (Ronaldo) departure would affect us more, to be honest. However, I prefer the Spanish league with Ronaldo in it than without."
