After being linked with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Napoli, James Rodriguez's future has now seemingly been decided by Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
The Colombia international spent the past two years on loan at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, who decided against a permanent switch.
Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti has previously spoken about a possible deal for the Colombian, while Atletico were also reportedly keen on the midfielder.
However, Zidane has now confirmed Los Blancos will be counting on Rodriguez for the upcoming season.
“He is a player who plays football very well,” Zidane said, as per Marca.
“We are happy to see him here and we will count on him like the others.
"Now we want to see him from here on in. He is happy to be in Madrid and there are many games and we will count on everyone.”
