Netherlands international Frenkie de Jong insists he has no regrets over joining FC Barcelona this season.
The Dutchman joined the Catalan giants from Ajax Amsterdam in a deal reportedly worth €75 million after impressing withthe Dutch giants last season.
De Jong has come with a lot of expectations, as the Spanish champions try to fill the void left by midfield legend Xavi Hernandez.
“No, that's not true. I don't regret having signed for Barca, not for one second," De Jong told Sport.
“I am really happy because I always wanted to play here. I am playing with players who for me are genuine legends. I am enjoying myself and I am learning a lot, too.
"I am at the best club in the world. living in a wonderful city with great weather.”
When asked about following in the footsteps of Dutch legend Johan Cruyff, he added: "I hope so. I always wanted to play for Barca.
“I don't know what will happen in the future, but I am happy here and there's no step forward from Barca. There's no better level.”
