Barca land Dutch starlet

FC Barcelona have completed the signing of defender Mike van Beijnen, who becomes the third Dutchman to join the Spanish giants in this transfer window after Ludoveit Reis and Frenkie de Jong.

The Blaugrana took to their official social media accounts on Thursday to announce their acquisition of the fullback, who arrives at the Camp Nou on a free transfer from Eredivisie outfit NAC Breda.

While Van Beijnen is set to link up with the club's reserve team for the 2019/20 campaign, the LaLiga outfit has set the defender's buyout clause at a staggering €100 million (R1.6 billion), according to Barca's official website.

Van Beijnen, formerly of RBC Roosendaal Youth and Willem II, is reportedly the son of Ali Dursun, the agent who oversaw De Jong's €75 million (R1.2 billion) transfer from Ajax Amsterdam to Barcelona.
