Hazard to miss Real's LaLiga opener

Eden Hazard will have to wait a bit longer to make his official Real Madrid debut, although Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez have been included the matchday squad.

The Belgian featured prominently in Los Blancos' pre-season games but only managed to score one goal.

The club have since confirmed Hazard sustained a thigh injury that could keep out for a couple weeks.

The club's statement read,"Following tests carried out after training today, our player Eden Hazard has been diagnosed the Real Madrid Medical Team with a lesion in the recto anterior muscle of the left thigh. Pending evaluation."

Hazard now joins fellow new signing, Ferland Mendy, and Marco Asensio on the Real injury list.
