Eden Hazard was overjoyed to finally making his official Real Madrid on Saturday and hopes it's the start of the something beautiful.
Hazard ended a seven-year stay with English Premier League giants Chelsea in the summer to head to Madrid for a massive 130 million pounds fee.
Hazard has been given the illustrious number 7 shirt and according to him ‘it was important to get some rhythm’ after suffering an injury during pre-season.
“I am very happy that I was able to come on. When you’ve been out for a while, it’s important to get some rhythm,” Hazard told Real Madrid TV.
Hazard hopes his debut heralds the start of ‘something beautiful’ and believes the maximum points are a big confidence booster for the side.
“I hope today is the start of something beautiful for me at this club. I want to enjoy my football, my teammates, and Real Madrid.
“This stadium is unique. I felt the support and three points are good for our confidence," he added.
Real now turn attention to Paris Saint Germain in their UEFA Champions League Group A opener in Paris on Wednesday evening.
