Hazard set to return to former club?

Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard is reportedly being targeted for a surprise swap deal that would see him return to one of his former clubs.

The Belgian winger has failed to make a major impact in the Spanish capital in the last three years, having joined from Chelsea in a deal reportedly worth £89million.

However, reports in Spain claim that the 30-year-old could be on his way to Ligue 1 outfit Lille in a swap deal that would see highly-rated Jonathan David move to the Bernabeu.

Marca has reported that Los Blancos are interest in signing the Lille star, who has already bagged 16 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions this season.

Lille president Olivier Letang recently revealed he would open for Hazard making a return to the club where he broke out as a star.

“A return of Hazard to Lille? It is not impossible to see it here," he said, as per the Sun.

“I go to Spain if necessary. It may seem impossible. Obviously, Hazard is an incredible player with a lot of quality.

"Right now, he is a Real Madrid player and is under contract with Real Madrid every day."
