Barcelona defender Dani Alves claims Lionel Messi is not enjoying himself at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Argentine joined the French Ligue 1 outfit on a free transfer after Barcelona were unable to renew his contract due to their financial issues.
Messi's time in Paris has not gone down well, which was evident by the supporters booing him and Neymar after their UEFA Champions League exit.
"Messi is not enjoying himself as PSG," Alves told ESPN.
"He’s lost. Leo always said to me, ‘Where could I be happier than here?’ For whatever reason, Leo is not here today, but I hope he can come back.
"I don’t know (if he could return), but if he does come back, I hope he comes back here with me."
The Brazilian did add that he feels his former Barcelona teammate is thinking about a return to the Camp Nou.
“Leo always told me where are you going to be better than here? I checked, there is no better place than here. Even when it came out that he was leaving, I sent him the same message that he told me," said the Barca star.
“For whatever reason he is not here and I hope he can come back. I don't know, but if he comes, let him come here with me, to enjoy at least a little more of all that.
“All the people who leave here regret it, everyone. Some will say no, because they don't like to lose, but all the people who leave regret it, because it's better here than anywhere."
