Chelsea boss responds to Dembele links

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has responded to reports linking Ousmane Dembele with a move to Stamford Bridge after he was told he can leave Barcelona.

The Catalan giants confirmed this week that Frenchman will be allowed to leave in the January transfer window after failing to agree to a contract extension.

Tuchel worked with Dembele at Borussia Dortmund and had nothing but praise for the 2018 World Cup winner, who is set to be a free agent in June.

"He’s a very good player, and I am very fortunate to have trained him in my time at Dortmund. It was only one year, it should have been longer, but I needed to leave and he decided to leave.

"We are not in close contact, we have met here and there because of his duties for the French national team when I was in Paris. We exchanged some messages.

"I have absolutely no idea why he is in this situation, I don’t know the detail, so it’s better not to talk."

Here are some transfers that were already confirmed ahead of the January window!
