FC Barcelona are reportedly close to agreeing a huge swap deal that would see Antoine Griezmann leave the Camp Nou.
According to Marca, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are in advanced negotiations regarding a swap deal involving the France star and midfielder Saul Niguez.
Spain international Saul is understood to be seen as surplus to requirements at Atletico after they completed the signing of Argentina international Rodrigo De Paul for €35 million (R599 million) earlier this month.
The Blaugrana, meanwhile, are said to be keen to get Griezmann's wages off their books.
It is claimed that Barcelona president Joan Laporta is also demanding an additional €15 million (R257 million) fee from Los Rojiblancos to make up the difference in market value between the two players.
The 30-year-old French attacker is reportedly open to the idea of returning to the Wanda Metropolitano, where he previously enjoyed a fruitful spell, scoring 133 goals and providing 50 assists in 257 appearances between 2014 and 2019.
Liverpool and Chelsea were widely reported to be interested in Saul, but it seems they may miss out on the player as he is reportedly keen to play for the LaLiga giants despite the club's financial issues.
