FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has hit back at Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann's remarks about not signing players with no money.
The Catalan giants have had a busy transfer window despite their publicised financial issues over the past couple seasons.
The club have splashed out transfers fees for Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Koundé, while Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen.
Nagelsmann recently expressed his surprise at how the Catalans were signings players "without money", but Laporta has wasted not time in responding.
“Comments from Germany? They would have to check their accounts, they got a lot of money from the Lewandowski deal," Laporta said, as per Goal.
“What they are doing is distorting reality. They do not know the value of Barcelona.
“To those who are surprised, I say that we are very awake. We are back on the market. The weight, strength and value of an entity with more than 122 years of history is a lot.”
