Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has shared the club's position on the possible return of FC Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann left Los Colchoneros to join Barcelona in a controversial €120 million (R2.2 billion) deal in 2019, but things have not gone to plan for the France international since his move to the Camp Nou.
The 29-year-old has struggled to leave his mark since joining the Catalan giants, and has scored just 17 goals in 57 appearances, prompting speculation surrounding his long-term future at the club.
Ahead of Atleti's LaLiga clash against Barca this weekend, Cerezo addressed the media on Griezmann's current situation and the possibility of the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner returning to the Wanda Metropolitano.

"A possible return of Griezmann? Life takes many turns. There are some who have left and others who have come back..." the 72-year-old said, per Marca.
Cerezo also revealed the conversation he had with the former Real Sociedad star prior to his move to the Blaugrana, and sympathised with the player regarding his struggles since leaving Madrid.
"I told him, 'I hope, where you go, they treat you and they love you like here,'" the film producer added.
"A complicated situation has been found. When the team does bad, everything is bad. Griezmann is of the three best players in Europe."
