FC Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann admits he is expecting a icy reception when he makes his return to Wanda Metropolitano later this year to face Atletico Madrid.
The Frenchman completed a move to the Catalan giants earlier this month after Barcelona activated his €120 million buyout clause.
There is currently an transfer war going on between the Catalan giants and Atletico, with the latter claiming the full buyout clause was not met.
Griezmann also didn't cover himself in glory after refusing to turn up for pre-season training before concluding a switch to the Camp Nou.
"I imagine it will be a bit difficult," Griezmann told Mundo Deportivo.
"But I understand it because he was also a very important player for them, although the love I have for the coach, my teammates and the fans is very great.
"As with Real Sociedad. They are the two clubs that gave me everything and made me a footballer, world champion. Everything."
