Pyramids rope in Mido to challenge Ahly

World News

Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids FC have appointed former Egypt star Mido as their new technical supervisor.

Pyramids bolstered their backroom staff with the appointment of former Pharaohs international Mido as their new technical supervisor over the weekend, with the 38-year-old set to concurrently serve as the club's spokesperson.

The former AS Roma and Tottenham Hotspur striker arrives at the club with a wealth of experience to his name, having previously held similar roles with Wadi Degla and Belgian side Lierse, while he also held managerial roles with Zamalek, Ismaily, Wadi Degla and Misr El-Makkasa.

Mido's appointment comes at a time where, despite the club investing heavily in the transfer market, Pyramids are struggling domestically and currently languish in seventh place on the Egyptian Premier League table with 19 points in 13 matches.
