UEFA's official best XI of Euro 2020

Euro 2020

UEFA has announced its official 2020 UEFA European Championship Team of the Tournament, which includes five players from champions Italy, but Golden Boot winner Cristiano Ronaldo was snubbed.

Despite being named the tournament's top goalscorer, Ronaldo was not selected for the team, with Belgium's Romelu Lukaku edging into the XI ahead of him – the Portuguese forward ended the tournament with five goals in four games, while the Inter Milan striker scored four goals in five matches.

Spain teenager Pedri, who was named the Young Player of the Tournament, was selected in midfield alongside Denmark's ever-present Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who helped the Danes reach the semi-finals of the competition.

Champions Italy, meanwhile, have five players in the squad, with representation of at least one of their players in the goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward categories.

The UEFA Euro 2020 Team of the Tournament was selected by UEFA's team of Technical Observers, according to the organisation's official website – scroll through the gallery above to see the XI in full!
