Man Utd players 'in tears' after loss

English Premier League

Some of the Manchester United players were reportedly seen crying in the dressing room after the humiliating defeat to Watford on Saturday.

The Red Devils' struggles continued on Saturday evening as they suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Hornets at Vicarage Road.

Reports across England claim that the United board have come to a decision to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after an emergency meeting was held last night.

Manchester Evening News have now reported that certain players and members of the staff were in tears knowing that it could be the Norwegian's last game in charge.

Solskjaer and the players went to the away end after the game, but the reception was not great towards the manager, which didn't sit well with Bruno Fernandes who hit back at the supporters.

Meanwhile, David de Gea labelled the defeat embarrassing and defended Solskjaer.

“There's not much to say - it was embarrassing to see Man United play like we did today.

“It's not acceptable - the way we were playing and doing things. It's easy to blame the manager or the staff but sometimes it's the players. We need to show much more than we are doing.

“An embarrassing first half - we could've conceded four goals in 45 minutes. It was hard to watch the team playing today - it was nightmare after nightmare. It's not acceptable.

"We are trying to give our best and fight for the team but for sure something is very wrong. You can see in the games - it's very low level, very poor. Sorry to the fans, once again.
