Man Utd join race to sign Brazilian

English Premier League

Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign to Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes, who has also been heavily linked with Arsenal.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be keen on a new central defender ahead of the 2020/2021 season to partner Harry Maguire.

According to Daily Record, the Red Devils have identified the 22-year-old as the ideal signing to bolster the defence, which has looked shaky since the restart.

The report claims that the Brazilian defender could be available for the cheap price of £22.5million but United could face competition for his services.

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be keeping an interest in the defender, with the latter reportedly mulling over the futures of Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen.
