Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly leading the race to sign a Premier League star, who is also wanted by rivals Chelsea.
The Citizens have already bolstered their squad with the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund and they are expected to bring in a few more new faces.
Manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly identified Brighton and Hove Albion full-back Marc Cucurella as a target, with the Spaniard looking to fill the left-back spot.
Guardiola has deployed a number of players in the left-back position this season, with Oleksandr Zinchencko and Joao Cancelo getting the most minutes.
The Sun have reported that the champions are stepping up their pursuit for the 23-year-old, who only joined the Seagulls from Getafe before the start of last season.
Chelsea are also said to be interested in the former Barcelona youth player, but any potential buyer will need to agree a big fee as the full-back still has four years left on his contract.
The report adds that Cucurella's arrival would likely see Zinchenko leave the Etihad, with Arsenal and West Ham United seemingly keen.
