Manchester City 2-1 West Ham United
Manchester City returned to second spot in the Premier League table with a 2-1 victory over West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
The Citizens battled heavily in difficult conditions, but were ahead at halftime through Ilkay Gundogan and bagged their second at the death through Fernandinho.
West Ham got a glimmer of hopes in the dying stages of the match when Manuel Lanzini’s stunning strike rattled the net, but it was too little too late.
Brentford 1-0 Everton
Everton’s struggles for form continued after going down 1-0 to the newly-promoted Brentford FC at the Brentford Community Stadium.
The Toffees came off a 5-0 battering by the champions Manchester City last Sunday and hadn’t won since overcoming Norwich City back in September.
Brentford on the other hand snapped a two-match winless run, with the winning effort coming from the spot in the first half through Ivan Tovey.
Leicester City 4-2 Watford
A double from Jamie Vardy helped Leicester City to a 4-2 victory over the relegation-troubled Watford at the King Power Stadium.
The double from Vardy saw the Foxes call on James Maddison, who opened matters and Ademola Lookman to put the Hornets to the sword.
Claudio Ranieri, who faced the side he won the league with in 2016/17, had a penalty from Josh King and a late finish from Emmanuel Bonaventure as their consolation.
