Liverpool ended their four-game losing run in the Premier League after defeating Sheffield United 2-0 on Sunday evening.
The Reds made two enforced changes, as shot-stopper Alisson was given compassionate leave as Adrian replaced him in goal, while Nathan Philipps came in for the injured Jordan Henderson.
David McGoldrick came close to giving Sheffield a dream start in the fifth minute after getting away at the back post from a free-kick and forced a reflex save from Adrian with a close-range header.
Roberto Firmino had a big chance to give Jurgen Klopp's charges the lead five minutes later after going clear on goal through the middle but his strike was saved by goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in a one-on-one situation.
Liverpool had a scare ten minutes before the break after Ozan Kobak turned the ball into his own net under pressure from Oli McBurnie but fortunately for him, the goal was chalked off for offside as the first stanza ended goalless largely due to Ramsdale's heroics between the sticks.

Curtis Jones finally broke the deadlock for the Reds three minutes from the break with a first-time strike inside after Trent Alexander-Arnold sent a teasing cross into the box.
After Sadio Mane had a goal for Liverpool disallowed for offside five minutes later, Firmino made it 2-0 in the 64th minute with a strike at the near post that took a deflection and looped over Ramsdale.
Salah had a chance to add a third goal for Klopp's men in the last ten minutes after receiving a cross from Andrew Robertson at the back post but he dragged his shot wide as the Reds settled for a 2-0.
As a result, Klopp's men remain in sixth place on the log, two points off the top four after getting a back to winning ways.
