Aubameyang to make EPL return?

English Premier League

FC Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could reportedly be in line for a sensational return to the Premier League.

With Robert Lewandowski having made his blockbuster move from Bayern Munich to the LaLiga giants last month, the Poland international will be expected to be a first-team starter at the Camp Nou.

This is likely to impact current Blaugrana forwards Aubameyang, Memphis Depay and Martin Braithwaite, who will all likely drop down the pecking order in the upcoming campaign.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Chelsea were looking to seize on the situation, registering an interest in Depay as they continue to look for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who rejoined Inter Milan on loan in June.

However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have now surprisingly turned their attention to the Dutchman's teammate Aubameyang.

It is said that Thomas Tuchel's side is considering bringing the Gabonese striker back to the EPL, with discussions regarding a potential move having already taken place.

According to the Daily Express, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has been in multiple meetings over the past few days with a number of striker targets as he looks to bolster the club's front line even further after acquiring Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.

The London club is also linked with Red Bull Salzburg's teenage forward Benjamin Sesko, who will reportedly decide on his next club in the near future as a host of European sides have shown interest in securing his signature.
