Arteta makes decision on African star

English Premier League

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made a decision on club-record signing Nicolas Pepe, who has struggled to make an impact at the Emirates.

The Ivory Coast international has registered three assists and one goal in nine appearances for the Gunners across all competitions.

Pepe has fallen down the pecking order in recent months, however Arteta insists the club have no plans let the player in January.

"No, and it is not the moment to talk about that either," Arteta said when asked if there willing to listen to offers, as per Goal.

"We are interested in Nico performing at the level that he can do.

"He had some really good moments since I have been here, some moments where he hasn’t participated that much, like everybody else."

The Ivorian winger joined the North London outfit from Lille in 2019 for a reported club record fee of £72million, but he is yet to replicate the form he showed in Ligue 1.
