Manchester United have set their sights on Italy wonderkid Pietro Pellegri, who's endured a nightmare spell at AS Monaco.
Pellegri emerged as one of the hottest properties in Italian football when he made his Serie debut for Genoa as a 15-year-old back in 2016.
After scoring three goals in nine appearances, Monaco splashed €25-million for his signature before he went on to break Kylian Mbappe's record as the youngest debutant in the French club's history.
However, that milestone at 16 years, 10 months and 30 days has proven to be the highlight of his stint in France, with injuries restricting the towering striker to just six substitute appearances over two seasons.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed interest in the teenage sensation as he looks to find a promising forward to develop within his already exciting attack.
Having only recently turned 19, the Italy youth international still has time on his side to live up to his early potential, while Monaco will be looking to recoup some of their investment from the striker.
