New Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick's transfer plans are said to already be in motion, with the English giants having reportedly submitted a request to sign an Atletico Madrid attacker.
With the January transfer window now just weeks away, Rangnick could soon be set for his first signing in the English top flight as he looks to guide his team to a top-four finish.

The Red Devils are currently just three points outside the top four on the Premier League log, but trail table-toppers Manchester City by 11 points after the first 15 matches of the 2021/22 campaign.
Rangnick's side does appear to have a favourable run of matches ahead, though, facing Norwich City, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United, and Burnley in their next five EPL fixtures before the January window opens.
That window could prove useful for the Old Trafford side, with Diario AS now reporting that United have made a request to Atletico to land Portuguese attacker Joao Felix's signature.
The 22-year-old has not exactly lived up to the expectations in the Spanish capital since joining Los Rojiblancos for a reported £113 million (R2.3 billion) from Benfica back in 2019.
The 2019 Golden Boy award winner has featured only 88 times since joining the LaLiga club, and has made just 31 goal contributions, although he has also had some bad luck with a few niggly injuries disrupting his progress with the team.
With Felix's camp understood to be looking for a way out of Diego Simeone's club for the player, it is further claimed that fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United are also keeping a close eye on the situation around the Portugal star.
