Images and videos went viral on social media of Romero after he crashed his luxury sports car worth a reported £170,000 (R3.2 million) and he miraculously remained unharmed from the incident.
The crash that resulted in Romero's car underneath the roadside barriers is believed to have taken place near the club's Carrington training base.
