The England international made his first start of the 2021/22 season in Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat to West Ham United in the Carabao Cup after missing the three opening games of the Premier League season due to Covid-19.
Henderson made just 13 league starts last season and kept five clean sheets, which helped earn him a call-up for the Three Lions European Championship squad.
The 24-year-old, however, suffered a major setback ahead of the tournament and was forced to withdraw from the squad due to a hip injury.
It is now understood that the former Sheffield United stopper is once again keen on going out on loan with it appearing that Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea has reclaimed his No. 1 spot.
