Manchester United legend Paul Ince has made a strange claim about Odion Ighalo's wondergoal in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.
Ighalo, 30, opened the scoring with a stunning left-footed strike as the Reds Devils thrashed Austrian Bundesliga outfit LASK 5-0, the first leg of their round of 16 Europa League tie.
As both teams played in an empty Linzer Stadion due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Ince doubted that the former Watford star would have scored a goal of that quality in front of a packed stadium.
"It reminds me of one of those that you'd do at training. If it was a full house, I don't know [if Ighalo would have scored]," he told BT Sport.
"Maybe I'm doing a disservice to him, I don’t know. It's a wonderful goal, let me tell you that now, it's a fantastic strike."
"They get a bit fortunate there but this ball from the outside of his feet…here [Ighalo] juggles it one or two, three times and fires it in the top-hand corner."
Ighalo has now scored three goals in as many starts for the Red Devils since his shock deadline day arrival.
