Sevilla are considering making a late move for Manchester United misfit Anthony Martial, according to Marca.
Reports on Thursday claimed the 22-year-old had decided to stay and fight for his Old Trafford future, despite manager Jose Mourinho demanding he be sold.
Martial’s agent appeared to lay the groundwork for his client’s departure during the off-season, claiming his client, who was omitted from Didier Deschamps' 2018 World Cup winning squad, had grown disenchanted with his lack of first-team opportunities.
The France international was handed a surprise start by Jose Mourinho but failed to make the most of his opportunity in the defeat to Brighton last week.
However, English publication, The Independent claimed the decision by the Red Devils boss was sending a clear message to vice-executive chairman Ed Woodward that the 22-year-old is not up to the standard required to challenge for the Premier League title.
Martial has scored 36 goals and registered 26 assists in 136 games for the club over the past three seasons, since his £58m arrival from AS Monaco.
